Louis Marx & Company was one of the largest toy manufacturers in the world during the mid-20th century, producing affordable tin lithographed trains from the 1930s through the 1970s. These O-gauge coal tenders were designed to accompany Marx steam locomotives and were sold both individually and as part of complete train sets.
